Zoe decided to alter the text info, just to see what would happen. She changed hair from Black to Blond and looked in the mirror. Her hair really was blond!
"Freaky," she said.
She then flipped down to the drop-down box and saw an entry saying:
SOCIAL GROUP: Goth
She changed it to Prep and suddenly felt her clothes shift around her until she was dressed in something much more preppy: a tight pink T-shirt that showed off her cleavage, a white pleated micro miniskirt, and pink 4-inch open-toe heels (which showed off her now-pink-polished toe nails). It kind of disgusted her, seeing her looking like the type of person she hated the most, but she was also amazed by it. Whatever this computer program was, it was able to change reality.
She looked further down the screen and saw boxes labeled AWARENESS OF DIFFERENCES. Underneath were the options:
EVERYONE AWARE (this one was checked)
ONLY SUBJECT AWARE
NO ONE AWARE
EVERYONE BUT SUBJECT AWARE
SELECT PEOPLE AWARE (with a text entry box)
SELECT PEOPLE NOT AWARE (with a text entry box)
She decided to not alter her awareness and to undo all her changes for now (no way was she going to keep herself looking like a ditzy Prep). But she still wanted to use the program.
Who should she change?
