Emily didn't know what to do. She had already been left alone in the game, but it was the first time the screen completely disappeared. Did Karyn have a problem? Did the game crash or something? Emily looked around for some kind of clue as to what happened but nothing stood out to her. She was still in the same room with the same piles of junk everywhere. She tried going back outside, but the door was locked once again. "Fuck! Game?! What just happened?" She asked but nobody answered her. Out of ideas, she opened her menu and was surprised to find something. It was just a word under her stats and she almost missed it:

Cleaning: 0%

Did that mean Karyn wouldn't come back until she finished cleaning? Emily couldn't be sure, but it was her only clue. She picked up something on the ground. It looked like an old wooden plate. Emily expected it to disappear in her inventory, but it stayed in her hands. "Where am I supposed to put these if I can't use my inventory?" She asked to noone.

The game might have heard her question, because a the plate began glowing faintly. The glow then began moving toward a cupboard, leaving a trail behind it. Emily followed it and found two other similar plates inside the cupboard and the glow that looked like a ghostly third plate. Hesitantly, Emily placed the plate in her hands inside the cupboard, and the glow vanished. "That's neat..." Emily said. If a glow was going to tell her where to put everything, it would certainly make her task much easier. She looked back at her menu:

Cleaning: 0.07%

Emily looked at the number in disbelief. She knew it was only a plate, but the number was ridiculously low. How long would it take her to clean everything? She looked around and sighed. She didn't have a choice. It was her only clue to bring Karyn back. She closed her eyes and walked toward the nearest pile, prepared for the long task ahead of her.

Karyn had been a little surprised to see her screen go black the moment she activated Emily's cleaning skill, but it only lasted a second before Emily reappeared, now inside a clean room, her broom still in hand. "See? That wasn't too bad!" Said Karyn, thinking the cleaning had been done automatically.

Emily looked at her, her face expressing a mixture of surprise and relief, but it was quickly replaced by a frown as she realized what Karyn had just said. "What do you mean: "That wasn't so bad"? I just took hours cleaning everything!" Emily almost shouted. "I even had to swipe the floor after I had picked up everything!"

"What?" Karyn was a little shocked by Emily's answer. "I just... Sorry J... Emily! It has been instant for me, and I thought it was the same for you."

Emily sighed. "I'm sorry too... You couldn't have known. I'm just a little on edge after I spent hours cleaning this mess alone..." She pointed to the room. There was still a lot of things on the furnitures or on the walls, but they now looked like they belonged here, and it didn't look bad at all. Karyn couldn't help but be impressed.

"Did you reorganize everything yourself? I didn't know you had this kind of talent. You could become an interior designer." Karyn said only half jokingly.

Emily smiled embarrassedly. "Well, not really. The game told me where to put everything and I just followed what it told me." Emily said. "But most of it was put in the trash can. Otherwise, I would still be cleaning right now!"

"What trash can?"

"That one." Emily pointed to the kitchen where a small trash can was standing near the corner of the room. "Everything I put inside disappear, It was really useful... Wait!" Emily suddenly walked to the trash can and began lifting it.

"What are you doing?" Karyn asked.

Emily didn't answer right away, but after a few seconds, she put it back down with a sigh. "I thought I might be able to put it in my inventory now that I have finished cleaning, but it looks like I still can't..."

Karyn had a few questions, but she decided to leave them for later. A message had appeared on the screen with Emily after she finished cleaning:

Emily has found "Quelor's blessing" while cleaning.

"The game said you found something called Quelor's blessing?" Karyn asked.

"Ah, Yes! Though I don't know why it's named like that." She took out an iron ring from her inventory. "It's the only thing I was able to take into my inventory while cleaning. There are some inscriptions on the inside, but it's not magical."

Quelor's blessing (DEF+1; RES+2) A ring that looks like it could be magical, but it's not.
