Jon was still a little tired, even though he slept in a little more than usual. He turned and looked at his clock - 7:30 AM.

"Crap," he muttered, as he pulled his covers back and hopped out of bed. School started at 8:00 AM. If he hurried, he might be able to make it on time.

He ran into the bathroom and got ready as quickly as he could, making sure that he was as clean as he could be under the circumstances. He had no idea why he was so tired. He had never slept in this late before. Not on a school day.

After he was done in the bathroom, he raced back to his room and began to get dressed. But then he suddenly stopped when he pulled open his underwear drawer. Instead of his usual white briefs, he saw pink and lavender ones. "What the hell?" They weren't girls panties. They were boys underwear, but they were in girls colors. Someone was obviously playing a joke on him and he had a pretty good idea who.

Keeping the towel wrapped around his waist, he ran back out into the hallway, intent on confronting his sister Zoe, if she was still there. But before he could reach her door, he was stopped by his mother.

"Jon, don't you have school soon?" she asked.

"Mom, I ..." He stopped when he saw what she was wearing. It was a woman's business suit - white blouse, black blazer, and black pants. "What are you wearing?" he asked.

She looked oddly at him. "What I always wear to the office? As a lawyer, I need to look my best."

"Lawyer? Mom, you're a secretary."

Now she looked even more oddly at him. "Me? A secretary? Jon, only men are secretaries." She paused, then looked closer at his face.

"What?"

"Did you forget to put make-up on this morning?" she asked.

"What are you talking about? Girls wear make-up."

"Jon, I'm starting to really worry about you. Maybe I should make a doctor's appointment," she said, grabbing her cellphone out of her pocket and then making a call.

"I'm not the one that needs to see a doctor," Jon said. More and more, it felt like this had something to do with that vague wish he made the previous night and not some prank.

He walked back to his room to get the stone and try to figure out what was happening, but as he did, his mother said "Stay right there, young man." Jon stopped in his tracks then slowly turned. "You're going to see the doctor. Right now."

"I'm not dressed," Jon said.

"Go get dressed, then meet me downstairs."

Jon watched her walk down the hall and then down the stairs. Then he turned and re-entered his bedroom.
