As Jon walked downstairs to his front door, he was surprised to see Biff Meadows, Tom Welles, and Randy Goodman. They were all jocks who were members of the football team and three of the hottest and most popular guys in school. But they were also total jerks towards Jon and Karyn. Why were they at his house? And why did his mom think they were his friends?
"What are you doing here?" Jon asked.
"We're here to pick you up, man," Randy said. "Just like always."
"Is this some sort of a prank?" Jon asked.
"What do you mean?" Tom asked.
Jon looked closely at them. They certainly weren't acting like jerks or bullies, which was how they usually acted towards him. Could it be that this was the result of his vague wish? If Biff and his jock buddies were his friends now, then what happened to Karyn?
"Come on, Jon," Biff said, getting impatient. "Let's go now."
