8:34 am. The sound of heavy rain hammering against Jon's bedroom window was stirring him awake.
Jon's mother's voice came ringing into his bedroom, "Jon! The school called, they're not open because of the storm, so no rush to get up".
"that's great..." murmured Jon in reply. 'great' he thought, 'no way I'm getting any more sleep now'. The wind still blowing the rain hard into his window.
