BANG. CRASH
The noise had awoken Jon, now sitting up in his bed, he scanned the bedroom, at fist glance there was nothing out of the ordinary.
"Do not be alarmed, Jon" spoke a voice, distorted somewhat.
"W-who's there?" stammered Jon, his eyes picking out more detail from his bedroom.
knock-knock
Jon almost jumped out of his skin.
"You alright in there honey?" mom's voice whispered through the door.
"I'm fine mom, just slipped out of bed" replied Jon.
"Okay sweetie, try to get some sleep." his mom walked away, a faint click from her bedroom door shortly after.
Turning to his bedside table, Jon flicked his lamp on.
There, standing in the corner of his bedroom, was a figure in a dark cloak, surrounded by a shadowy aura.
"Who are you?!" jumped Jon.
"There's no time" spoke the figure, their voice still distorted.
Inspecting the room, they held out their right hand to Jon, "Come with me and I'll try to explain. We still have time."
Climbing out of bed, Jon made his way to the cloaked figure. They were a similar height to Jon, but little more of them could be discerned due to the aura.
Reaching out his arm, Jon went to grab the mysterious figure's hand. Coming into grabbing distance, the shadowy stranger lurched forward clutching Jon's forearm.
All of a sudden Jon found himself falling, his room quickly faded away into a vast star-field.
What the hell... thought Jon, this was such a surreal experience.
The stars around him began speeding up, as if he was falling faster and faster.
A sharp tug on his arm brought his attention to what was occurring below him, there was a floor in the distance, approaching at some speed.
"OH SHIT!" screamed Jon, flailing around in an attempt to slow his descent, the floor getting closer by the second.
