When he arrived at the breakfast nook, Jon was greeted by the sight of his lovely mother.

Linda Madison was a kind young lady, conservatively dressed, her two perky K-cups held back by a smart orange bikini top, with the traditional three centimeter holes, accentuated by golden embroidery, to reveal the nipples, and a matching set of thigh-length argyle stockings on each of her eight long, shapely legs. She handed Jon a simple silver plate, encrusted with six small clusters of diamonds around the edges. The plate was loaded with some of the typical breakfast fare, bacon and eggs and chocolate cake and so forth. Jon grabbed a generous helping of pasta from one of his trees, just for good measure.

Jon took his plate over to the breakfast table, a simple stainless steel rimmed circle of glass suspended above the floor by a magnetic field, a contrivance the family only tolerated because the usual anti-gravity table was being resurfaced. As he sat upon one of the elevated cushions, he bid good morning to his father, Thomas, a gruff old centaur whose three breasts were barely held together by a lacy black bra. Linda had often asked him to at least cut some nipple holes in the garment, but he had always refused. "Free spirited," he called himself.

In the saltwater pool elevated beside the table swam Jon's sister, Zoe. Three years his junior, the young mermaid had been Jon's pet since the day she was born, and would remain so until she could find a buyer. She scowled and swam about the tank in a manner that she probably thought looked angsty or dark, but really just ended up making her look like she was trying very hard not to think about something. She was not the brightest, but then, Jon really didn't need her to be. She cleaned up well and looked sort of cute, which was all he really cared about in his pets.

Jon ate quickly and quietly, carefully avoiding spilling any crumbs on his breasts.

As he was about three quarters of the way through his breakfast, Linda said, in her distinctive soprano voice, "So, Jon, you're certainly dressed up today! I see you're wearing one of your grandfather's tube tops. Might I ask why?"

When Jon's grandfather had died, he had left Jon, Along with the wishing stone,(which, he reminded himself, he still hadn't used,) his extensive collection of formal menswear.

john responded, "Well, I have a presentation at school today on the influence of laser weapons on the decline of the roman empire. It really is quite fascinating. We get extra points for dressing formally, so I decided I might as well." He paused for a moment to chew then continued, "I also have a report due on the history of the International Beer Pong League, and I have to do a demonstration piece in sex ed." "Well," Linda said, as john took another bite, "It sounds like you have quite a busy day."

Jon glanced up at the ten foot wide clock that dominated the ceiling of the breakfast nook. He began eating faster, and, in between bites, said "Zoe, be a good little fish and fetch my shoes." Without a single word, Jon's young mermaid swam off through the two meter wide saltwater tube system connecting the various areas of the house. He had dozens of pets, most purchased off of friends that needed some spare change, but Zoe, by virtue of being his sister, was the only one who had the honor of dining with him.

A few minutes later, the girl returned with Jon's favorite shoes, a sensible pair of bright purple knee high ten-inch platform boots, sixteen inches at the heel, studded with diamonds around the ankle a bit drab, but he wasn't going to a funeral. He rewarded his aquatic pet with a pat on the head and a spare piece of bacon, and walked out to meet Karyn before school.
