Jon's heart sank when he realized that Zoe was gone. But fortunately, his mom was still there. She was sitting in the living room. Just sitting, probably trying to come to terms with what happened.
"Mom, where's Zoe?" Jon asked, frantically.
Apparently, she sensed his urgency, because she whipped around towards him suddenly. "Why? What's wrong?"
"If she touches someone, she'll swap ages with them."
"Why didn't you tell us this before?" she asked.
"I didn't know before," he said.
She was about to ask him why, but he cut her off before she could.
"Tell me where she went."
"She headed out to meet up with some of her friends. She said one of them might know how to change her back."
"Really? Who?"
"I think she said Athena."
Athena was the one that dressed like a witch. But she wasn't really a witch, was she? Jon thought that that was just her taste in clothing.
"Okay, I know where her house is. I'll be back," he said, leaving the house in a hurry.
