The man at the door smiled. "Good morning. I'm going door-to-door to demonstrate my newest invention. Would you like to see it?"
"Uh, sure. Okay," said Zoe, Jon's Goth 15-year old sister. She had just gotten up a few minutes ago to use the bathroom when she heard the doorbell ring. For a time, she considered not answering the door. She hardly thought that that would be rude. Even if she did, however, she wouldn't care. But she thought that it was even more rude that this guy was ringing the doorbell at what? Six o'clock in the morning? Yeah, that was rude.
She was still a little sleepy and just wanted to get this over with ... whatever this was ... so she could go back to sleep and grab at least another hour of sleep. So she just humored him, as he took something out of his briefcase.
"You won't ever find anything else quite like this," the man said, still smiling.
Zoe looked at the thing he was holding. "What is it?" she asked, yawning.
