"Mom?" Seth asked.
"Yeah, honey?" she asked, turning towards him.
He needed to know whether this new woman remembered both the memories of Tiffany and Jane, just like Seth remembered both the memories of Jon and Sarah. "Have you noticed anything, I don't know, strange this morning?"
"Now that you mention it, I have been feeling a little unlike myself."
"Oh?"
"Yeah. For some reason, I feel like showing myself off more than usual. I found these clothes in my closet. I'm not sure how they got there, but ..." Suddenly, she grabbed her head. "Damn it. Another headache. I've been getting them all morning."
"Mom, do you know someone named Tiffany Sanders?"
"Well, of course. That's me." She paused, as her eyes widened. "I mean ... no, that's not right. My name is Jane. I think."
"Are you okay?" Seth asked.
"Of course. I ..." She grabbed her head as another headache came on. "What's happening to me?" She tried to fight it, but the moment that her son mentioned the name Tiffany Sanders, she started remembering a bunch of stuff that never happened to her. Or did they?
Well, there it was. Whatever happened to Seth was also happening to his mother. He briefly wondered if maybe it was better if he hadn't asked her about Tiffany. She was obviously having a bad reaction.
