"Sarah, are you sure you're alright? The meteor gave you the power to expel super-charged farts and belches as gas or energy with various effects."
"Is that all I have?"
"Well I think you can fly or at least hover for a bit with your farts and belches but we haven't exactly tested that yet. Now are you really okay?"
"Yeah mom...it's just...I kind of got a horrible power."
"Oh honey, no you didn't. It's all in how you use it."
Sarah's mother hugged her then, her fat belly squishing against Sarah's skinny frame.
The mother-daughter moment was ruined as Mikey, Zoe, and Sarah's father all came downstairs.
"Sarah, did you hear the plan?" Sarah's father's voice asked in her mind.
"Yeah I did," Sarah replied.
"Then are we all ready to go?" Sarah's dad asked.
The others nodded. Sarah took a moment to observe their costumes. Her own, which she wondered why she hadn't noticed before, had GG in a circle and consisted of black leather with a domino mask. Zoe's costume was a bit lighter than Sarah's own with the letters SG in the middle. Mikey had a red costume with a cape and the letters TK. Finally, her father's costume had the letters MG on it and the costume itself was blue with a domino mask covering his face. Zoe and Mikey had masks as well but they covered their faces completely.
Sarah's father nodded at Mikey and the boy nodded.
A flash of light later, the super family was on the highway, an armored van fast approaching with sirens trailing behind that.
"Gassy Girl, you're up," Sarah's mother said.
Getting over her embarrassment of that superhero name, Sarah walked forward and turned around, pointing her butt at the approaching car.
BUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPPPPPPPPPPFFFFFFFFFFFFFT!
The fart that escaped her was more like a shockwave than flatulence and the gas that left her butt was soon a noxious green cloud that the van drove into.
A few moments later that armored van was on it's back as Sarah's mother got on all fours, her body changing completely into a pig as she easily got past the fortified vehicle to the still-shocked robbers inside.
Zoe raised her hand and a shadowy arm reached inside, retrieving another robber and swiftly slamming him to the ground.
Sarah's father closed his eyes and two more robbers exited, a dazed look in their eyes as Mikey teleported around the mind-controlled pair, handcuffs soon on their wrists.
The cops caught up to the crashed van and super family by this point and several policeman had exited their vehicles.
"Thank you Mind Guy, Power Pig, Gassy Girl, Shadow Girl, and Teleport Kid," one of the officers said, as they rounded up the subdued men.
"No problem officer," Sarah's mother responded, back in her half-pig, half-human form, snorting loudly.
After giving their statements to the police and barely managing to avoid the army of reporters that were fast arriving to the scene, the Gibson family were back at home, changing back into normal clothes.
Alone in her room, Sarah couldn't believe how excited she was. She was a hero! She had powers! Sure they weren't exactly the most inspiring powers but it didn't matter. She had saved the day!
A knock on her window ended her jubilation, a squirrel being responsible. Sarah ignored it but the squirrel knocked harder and even glared at her, though Sarah was certain squirrel's couldn't glare.
Opening her window, the animal dashed inside.
"Took you long enough," the squirrel said in a familiar, but annoyed, voice.
Sarah's jaw dropped as the squirrel grew larger, fur vanishing and replaced by human flesh and soon enough Karyn was standing before her, with clothes on, her brown eyes meeting Sarah's own.
"Why the surprise Sarah-girl?"
