Now that this was taken care of, Jon once against thought about what wish he could make. It was a question that kept coming back since he got the stone but he had yet to make a big wish.

A large part of the reason was caution but that wasn't all. He had considered making himself all powerful, giving himself everything he could want: money; women; power... But that wasn't what he wanted.

Jon had been increasingly aware of the corruption influence the stone could have. That was one of the reasons he wanted Karyn to know; to act as a safeguard of sort were he to go too far, but not to the point of denying him his fun like his mother would probably do. Even now, he could feel something telling him to abuse his power; it was small and easily overlooked, but it was there.

But Jon didn't want to be a villain. If anything, he wanted to be the hero of his story, and not a pseudo-hero with everything handed to him by the stone, but a real hero living a life of adventure rather than his slow boring life.

He thought about the films he watched, the books he read, the games he played. He would love to live inside these worlds... But he didn't want to leave his own life behind, and he didn't want to change the world and make life more difficult for others either. Jon looked at the stone still in his hand, and suddenly, he had an idea... A dangerous idea.

If the stone could change the world, that meant it could change things that weren't specified in a wish. So what if he wished for something vague and let the stone fill in the blank? He could specify a few conditions and safeguards to make sure he didn't fuck over the world or his life and try out the result!

Jon knew it was a bad idea. Leaving an unknown, almost omnipotent, entity change things around as it pleased was a recipe for disaster... But the idea was there now and he couldn't get rid of it.

He got to his desk and started planning his wishes, thinking to himself it was only hypothetical, that he wouldn't actually wish it. But deep down, as he watched his idea take form, he could feel his desire growing.

Finally, after maybe half an hour of reformulation, he came to a result he was satisfied with. He had taken many precautions, trying to make sure the world wouldn't suffer from it and adding multiple ways to reverse their effect.

Jon stood up and took the stone. "This is a really bad idea..." He muttered and paused for a moment before he finally sighed and started reading his notes.

"I wish..."
