As Jon waited for the bus with his mother, it eventually pulled up. "Have fun at school, sweetie" his mother said as she waved to him as he got on.
Inside, he was met with a shock. He recognized everyone on the bus as students from his high school. Although no one would think high school if they looked at them right now. Like him, all of them were dressed like kids much younger than they were. And while their were some dressed as their own gender, most were dressed as if they were the opposite one. Their were boys dressed like little girls, and girls dressed like little boys. And to make matters even stranger, everyone else on the bus was acting as if they were what they were dressed as. It was the strangest sight, seeing boys from the football team like Biff talking their doll while they giggled, and seeing the cheerleaders talking about cartoons and action figures.
As he walked down the aisle of the bus, he was greeted by a familiar face eagerly waving him over. Karyn sat in a seat, and unlike him, was dressed as her own gender, wearing a yellow dress and her hair tied into a ponytail with a blue ribbon. "Hi Jon!" she cheerfully greeted him.
"Uh, hi Karyn." he said, doing his best to pretend this was normal. Shortly after he did, he felt a sudden tug at his longer hair. "Ouch!" he yelled out in pain, and turned to see Sarah McMillain, dressed like a boy and her blond hair in a short boyish cut, and laughing as she sat back into her seat.
"Oh, Sarah is always so mean to you! Why does he always pick on you?" Karyn pouted.
Jon sat in his seat, and wondered once again just what was going on. Here he was on a bus full of teenagers dressed and acting as if they were in younger kids, with most of them dressed and acting like ones of the opposite gender. This was easily the strangest thing that had ever happened to him. He then looked out the window and saw the bus he was on pul up in front of the local elementary school.
