Karyn made sure to avoid Sarah on her way home from Jon's house, but once she turned onto her street, she saw that all her efforts to avoid that bitch were for nothing. What was she doing on her street anyway? It was the opposite direction from her house. Karyn squinted and saw that Sarah wasn't just on her street, but also walking towards her house. That little bitch, Karyn thought, fuming. She's here to make trouble for me.
Getting flushed with anger, Karyn stomped towards the cheerleader bitch. "Hey! What are you doing here?!" he yelled.
Sarah turned and smiled. But there was something different. It was a warm and friendly smile, not the usual condescending smirk Sarah usually had. Frankly, it took Karyn off-guard. What exactly was Sarah up to? What was her angle? Was she pulling some prank or something?
"Hi, Karyn," she said, still smiling. She was acting ... bubbly? Sarah McMillan didn't act bubbly. "I just came by to see if you wanted to go to the mall with me."
"You what?" Karyn asked.
Sarah giggled, something Karyn had never seen her do. "The mall. Did you wanna come along? It'd be great to have some company, especially with someone like you."
What was happening here? Sarah had never treated her so nicely in her life.
