As Catherine finally gained control of her emotions, she felt a piece of clothing fall on top of her. It was her vest.
"Here, you dropped this," Gary said. Catherine didn't look at him; just listening to his voice caused her heart to skip a beat.
"I hate you," she said.
"Yeah, I don't blame you," Gary said, starting to ramble a little. "I know I should be disgusted that I just made out with you, but my body is telling me otherwise. I mean, I've never had a girlfriend before and when you changed into an incredibly hot girl, I got a little curious. i was lying to myself that it was all a big prank, but in reality, I guess I just wanted to live out my fantasy of having a faithful girlfriend . . ." Gary's voice trailed off.
Catherine felt something changed but didn't even have to look at the card to guess what it was. She already had no desire to try out her newly acquired femininity on any man, save for a brief episode with Gary back in the cinema. Now, the difference was that her unwillingness to cheat was probably explicitly stated on her ID card.
Meanwhile Gary continued in an apologetic tone.
