Catherine could see Gary was still hesitating, though he was clearly attracted to her. She decided to try a different approach.
"Like you said, the changes aren't permanent," Catherine said. "You can change me back later if you want to." She grabbed his hand, making sure her breasts pressed against his arm. "How about we go back to the Shed? I'm getting a little tired of the mall. You can make your decision once we get there."
"I . . . guess that's fine," Gary said.
On the way back, Gary was a little quiet, probably because of guilt from changing Catherine too much, but he started to warm up again once they started talking. Catherine still had most of Jon's personality, so she could connect with Gary on that level. By the time to arrived back to the Shed, Gary was laughing and talking normally with Catherine. Catherine made sure not to act too devoted (even if she felt it), as that would remind Gary of his guilt.
"You think you can beat me in video games now that you're a girl?" Gary asked, teasingly as they walked back into the Shed. "Even though you could never beat me before?"
"Oh, I know I can," Catherine said. "I got mad skills, yo. I can feel it in my veins."
"Let's make a little wager then," Gary said. "If I win, I'll make any change I want. If you win, you can tell me to change any way you want."
"You're on," Catherine said. "No holding back."
