Steve smirked, waving the card in front of her mockingly. "Oh, so you'll do anything to get this back from me, huh? Anything at all?"
Jessica's pleading expression turned serious. "Yes." Suddenly, her hand shot out, her long manicured nails going straight for the jock's face. Only his quick reflexes saved him from losing an eye. Still, her strike left a deep scratch down his cheek and made him recoil with his hands covering his injured face.
"Gah! She's vicious!"
At this statement, the fire in Jessica's eyes became an inferno of hate, and she snarled as she swung one of her heeled trainers into his shin.
Biff managed to overcome his shock enough to charge forward, but Jessica picked up her half-filled lunch plate from the table and shattered it over his head. The dish had been plastic, but it was the hard kind of plastic that had weathered years of use. In the hands of an out-of-control teenage girl, it had more than adequate stopping power.
As the stunned Biff stumbled into the nearest lunch table, clutching his throbbing forehead, Jessica turned back to Steve and threw herself at him, knocking him backwards. As he tumbled to the ground, she grabbed his flailing arm and sank her teeth into his wrist.
"Yow!" Steve roared. Immediately, his hand opened, and the card tumbled out.
Jessica snatched it up just as a whole group of angry jocks grabbed her from behind, holding both her arms immobile. "You'll pay for that, you little bi-"
"What on earth is going on here!?" A voice boomed out.
The crowd parted to reveal Principal Carter striding up to the scene of chaos. His stormy demeanor parted the crowd of onlookers like a snowplow.
"She attacked us!" One of the jocks stated as he pointed at Jessica.
The girl made quite a spectacle, held down by three boys almost twice her size. Having reclaimed her property, she had calmed down enough not to put up a struggle.
"Is this true, young lady?" The older man demanded.
Jessica narrowed her eyes at Steve. "He took something of mine."
Steve finally realized that he had lost the card which now poked out from Jessica's clenched fist. Throwing caution to the wind, he rushed over and tried to grab it from her fingers. "She's lying! It's mine!" He lied.
Principal Carter sighed and shoved the two troublemakers apart and snatched the card. Waving off the other jocks, he gave both teenagers his best stern glare. "Cease this behavior immediately! Starting a childish fight over such a petty thing, it's a disgrace. It's absolutely intolerable. You two will report to the school nurse. You, also, Mr. Meadows. And after that, I want to see the two of you at my office."
Thus verbally chastised, the tall jock and the tiny cheerleader slumped off to the nurse's office, each hoping for a chance at getting the card back.
