"Now, would you mind telling me what is exactly happening here?" Jon's mom asked, after looking up and down her son, who was currently dressed as a female flight attendant.
"I don't know what's happening," Jon said. It was a half lie. He knew that this must have had something to do with his wish for something interesting to happen, but other than that, he didn't know all the details. "One moment, me and Zoe and Mikey were in the kitchen, then the next we were on this plane."
"Mikey and Zoe are here?" his mom asked.
"Yeah, they're back there, dressed as passengers," Jon said, pointing towards the cabin.
His mom stood up.
"Wait, where are you going?" Jon asked.
"I need to see if they're okay."
"But you're the pilot, right? Shouldn't you always stay in the cockpit? You know, in case of an emergency?"
"I'm not really a pilot, Jon."
"Could have fooled me," Jon said.
She grunted. "Fine. You go check on them instead. But come back in five minutes, okay?"
"Sure, Mom," Jon said, then left the cockpit and walked back into the cabin.
