"So, that's it?" - Asked Cecilia - "He just gets away with it? Sure, the effects were temporary, but..."
The other agent shook his head.
"He'll be treating Hiro Hibiki for free. And we will see that he keeps his part of the deal."
"In that case" - Said Cecilia, smiling a rather evil smile - "I have someone I wish to offer to... Guard him. Is that a problem?"
"Not by me." - Said the agent - "Who did you have in mind?"
Deborah was as close to a sociopath as it got while still on this side of the law. The precious few mores she had were self-imposed.
However, from within the twists and turns of her perversity, she was very specific indeed about not making children cry. In point of fact, she was more than a bit sadistic towards those that did so.
"Hello, Debbie?" - Asked Cecilia on the phone, in an unusual singsong voice - "I have an assignment for you. He really puts the 'ass' in 'assignment'. I'll send you his file and the info on where to meet him. You'll be guarding him for a while..."
Hawkins just watched the conversation.
"Well, Doctor Heider... It seems our task with you is done. Good day."
The two left the station, the doctor under the "custody" of the other agent.
Hawkins spoke up.
"So... He won't be arrested. He'll simply wish he had been..."
"Yep." - Said Cecilia - "We would need an agent and I figured Deborah was the psycho for the job... I hope we hear fr..." - Cecilia paused.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm getting a message from Lucas."
They read.
Okay! Good news and bad news! Good news: new planet. Has plants and animals. Tasty animals! Bad news: Took Wings a year to figure out how to bypass the universal boundary thingie! Cass hadn't changed at all from her usual animated form in those five years. Still with long, blue hair. Still with a stunning body and with large, purple eyes. Still an anime.
She had received a message filled with apologies for the year she had waited. She sent to Lucas a message saying it was okay, as she sat calmly on Selene/Neruite's veranda, sipping some tea with the goddess.
"Heh. When will you tell her it's fine, Selene?" - Asked Cass - "When will you tell her we've got all the time in the world?"
