Jon and his family were transfixed by the news. They saw footage of beaches full of newly male bodies wearing bikinis with empty tops and very bulging bottoms. There were also images of suddenly transformed women in dresses tented up by their new and oversized male members.
All reports simply indicated these new solar rays were devastating to human femininity. Any exposure would strip the body's cells of the feminizing effects of female hormones and replace those effects with masculinity until no femininity remained!
Later in the day they were reporting that based on initial observations it only took five minutes of exposure to the direct rays of the sun to fully alter a woman into her final masculine form. The effects were cumulative and seemingly irreversible. This meant just 1 minute of exposure took a woman 20% of the way towards her masculine form! Even if she avoided exposure for a long time, getting another minute down the road would then have her 40% of the way to being fully masculinized.
Fully masculinized varied somewhat for women. For 85% of females that meant becoming a full on male. For the remaining 15%, or , for women that were currently pregnant while exposed that meant a MOSTLY male body with descended ovaries, a penis, and only a small vaginal opening and uterus for the partial woman to attempt to reproduce with.
Men were not affected by this strange new colored sun. Also, once a woman had been mutated into her final masculine form she, now he, would not be affected by further exposure. This was true even if she were one of the partial women who retained some rudimentary female organs. So thankfully, even if ALL women were eventually fully exposed, humans would still have about 7-8% of the population able to get pregnant and have children.
Sure, the poor partial women would have each have to have a lot of kids in order to keep our numbers up, but at least this wasn't a human extinction event!
Of course, officials were urging all women not already masculinized to avoid exposure if at all possible!!
The only good news (If you could call it that) is that the mutating solar rays had very little penetration into non-organic matter. Even a clear pane of glass would cut the dose by 97%, meaning a woman standing in sunlight filtered by a pane of glass would masculinize at only 3% the rate of a woman standing in direct exposure.
During the 5 o'clock news, a doctor reported an odd observation in women who recently became men. Since female sex organs were larger in mass, when converted female sex organs formed male organs they were 80% larger than the average for normal men.
Holy shit, Jon thought, all these former ladies are now packing!
Then, after a long stressful day, the sun finally set and women were able to go outside again. Jon and Karyn decided they should meet at her place to try to use the stone to fix things.
As soon as Jon walked up and saw Karyn, he could see she was furious. Jon could also see that Karyn now had a lot of dark hairs on her upper lip. Karyn clearly had one of those wispy female mustaches women sometimes get as they get older and their estrogen drops. Karyn must have gotten some brief exposure to the sun already!
Also, Jon could see her eyebrows were bushy and her sideburns had crept down her cheeks a bit...
