By the time Mikedra and his daughter arrived at Sweet 16, he very much looked like the sort of person that would shop there. His physical age was now in his mid to late teens, and the only obvious masculine part of him was hidden under a pair of jeans.
However, as he looked at the fashion displayed in the store, he couldn't help but feel a little out of the loop. When had leather gone out of style?
Molly, though initially disappointed she wasn't going to Victoria's Secret, brightened considerably when she saw all the cool styles of clothes available in the store.
“Mommy, what can I get?” Molly asked, excitedly.
“Whatever you want, sweetie,” Mikedra replied, which caused Molly to run off in the store. “Within reason!” she shouted after her.
As his daughter ran around the store, Mikedra walked over to a mirror and examined his reflection. His hair had settled to a honey blonde color; the same color as Molly and Rebecca's hair. He didn't even notice as it defied gravity for a moment, bundling itself up into a loose ponytail.
Over the next few minutes Molly came up a few times asking if what she had in her hands was okay to buy. Mikedra kept saying yes, but then Molly would come back with something else, having changed her mind.
“Hey, honey?” Mikedra asked the next time Molly came over. “I'm a cool mom, right?”
“Of course, mommy!” Molly replied cheerily. He couldn't seem to sense any sarcasm in his daughter's answer.
Kimedra sighed in relief, as he shifted even further into his new role and aged to about twenty-four. As long as he could be a good mother to his children, that would be enough.
