Lucas walked into Maxwell's grove, frankly not expecting to find him there. She admired Maxwell, but couldn't really grasp how someone would be "better off" if they could not move.

And yet...

"Maxwell?" - Asked Lucas, surprised.

"Ah, Lucas. I was expecting you..." - Said Maxwell.

"But... the Sun changed back... I... It would change back those that would be better off in their original forms..." - Said Lucas.

Maxwell chuckled slowly and creakily.

"Oh, child... You seem to assume this form is worse for me, then?"

"Uhm... Er... I just sounded like a prick, didn't I?" - Said Lucas.

"Not at all." - Said Maxwell - "But you did sound like you could not possibly believe I was better off in this form..."

"Well..." - Said Lucas, blushing.

"This grove was my favorite spot before I changed, child." - Said Maxwell - "And now I get to be in it. Not at it, in it. I have time, child... Time to think and to ponder things. And I am here... I am where people will always know I am. I am in a better position to... Help others."

"But... Uhm..." - Lucas began.

"You fear for my freedom, child." - said Maxwell.

"I'm that transparent, eh?" - Asked Lucas.

"I know you well." - Said Maxwell - "I am free, child. Free to help those who would come to me, free to think and aid. Free to allow Lilly to sleep on my branches. And given the choice, Lucas, fear not, I would stay exactly as I am. Of my own free will. Freedom is within."

Lucas hugged the tree.

"I'm powerful, Max, but you are wise. I frankly think you are much more worthy of the power I wield than I am..."

"The forces that gave you said power clearly disagree, child..." - Said Maxwell, smiling lightly.

"Oh, there are reasons I got it." - Said Lucas, remembering a talk with Necessitas in her dreams - "But they were mostly... By exclusion. Basically, my kind of thinking is part of why I got this power."

"And in your kind of thinking, child, I assure you you are wiser than me." - Said Maxwell.

"I'm not sure that's a good thing." - Said Lucas.

"It is." - Said Maxwell - "Likewise, my kind of thinking and this body match. It is why I do not mind it, child."

Lucas smirked.

"I am the wielder of Excalibur, the Angel of Chaos, the One that Can Destroy All Fates, the Destroyer of the Enemy, the Savior of Time. I touched the face of gods. And yet, Max, compared to you? I'm nothing
