"Huh. That guy has some gall calling anyone else a sicko, innit? Thanks for sharing, Venus." - Said Lucas, looking at the strange hologram-like image Venus showed her.
"You're welcome." - Said Venus - "Belle and Ricky are women, so..."
Robert spoke up as she ate her dessert.
"Good to see that Ricky managed to leave that situation. This will likely help the mermaid too..."
"You think?" - Asked Lucas.
"Ricky likes the changed. Given what Jeff did to her, it's bound to come up when she tells her parents." - Said Robert as Venus made the hologram vanish.
"True." - Said Lucas - "I should be feeling a bit more schadenfreude. Right now I'm just glad Jeff will stop doing this kind of thing..."
"You pity him a bit." - Said Selene, smirking - "It's okay, I won't tell anyone."
"Not about to lift a finger to help him, but yeah." - Said Lucas - "I'll try to see if I can't find a way to make it up to Ricky and to the mermaid..."
"Why are you so... invested? I mean... This isn't your responsibility." - Said Robert.
"Our Chaotic Neutral can't resist saving someone in distress, Robert." - Said Selene, smirking.
"Yes, yes. Look. I just feel a bit bad." - Said Lucas.
"Suit yourself, but remember that you have to rest so as not to wear yourself out." - Said Selene/Neruite.
"It's fine, Neruite. Just this one thing and I'll rest." - Said Lucas.
Selene/Neruite suddenly paused, as did Venus.
"A new Moon is in the sky..."
If Lucas hadn't been too surprised by this turn of events to do so, she would have pondered the irony of her previous statement in face of this most recent fact. Alas, she was, so she didn't. She was just recovering from this bit of news - at least enough to plan a response on how to deal with it - when Lois set down a bottle of Colombiana and one of Dr Pepper in front of her.
"I heard it on the radio. Here." - Said Lois - "On the house. For dealing with the new Moon."
"I.. Er..." - Muttered Lucas.
"Selene knows you'll do it. Robert knows you'll do it. Venus knows you'll do it. Since Maxwell saw the Moon appear, he knows you'll do it. And I know you'll do it. Just be safe. Because I'm not giving you the bottles until you return safely from there." - Said Lois, smiling.
