Robert made her way to Maxwell's grove.
"Hello, Father Maxwell... The baby, Nina, is back with her parents. I offered them some aid and Hermes aided too..." - Said Robert uneasily.
"And why are you so glum, sister?" - Asked Maxwell gently.
"I... miss her a bit. And one other thing. A woman asked me to perform a marriage... I am not sure I can in this body... I'm female... And a demoness."
"Sister" - Said Maxwell gently - "If I may, maybe you are focusing a bit too much on form?"
Robert sighed.
"It's just... I don't know if I would even feel comfortable."
"Sister" - Said Maxwell patiently - "I am sure the Lord will bless and sanctify their marriage just as well if you celebrate it. I cannot force you, however. You may call anyone else from our church if you really wish, but they may well be busy themselves. I will not be annoyed or disappointed if you decide against performing their union, but I do hope you reconsider..."
Robert nodded.
"I will decide on it. The lady said she'd be back."
"Very well..."
Robert's cell phone rang.
"Hello. Oh, hello, Lucas. You can't access Hell's Kitchen from the Moon, then? Sure, I can help you get there... Yes, I did see some raw meat dishes. Could you help me reach the Café, too? Hmm. That actually seems like a delightful idea. An early lunch at Hell's Kitchen, dessert at the Café. Very well. Bye."
Suddenly, a rift opened. Lucas stepped out from it.
"Hokay. How goes, Max, Robert?"
"I am fine, child." - Said Maxwell.
"So am I." - Said Robert, though looking a bit more serious.
"Righto. To quote The Joker, why so serious?" - Said Lucas.
"Someone asked me to marry them." - Said Robert.
"Oh? You got a marriage proposal in a week? Wow, Robert, you are on fire! Who's the lucky guy?" - Asked Lucas, smiling.
"To perform their marriage..." - Said Robert.
"Ah. And you're glum because...?" - Asked Lucas.
"It'd be my first marriage in this form. It's a sacred vow... I mean... I'm a woman. And a demoness." - Said Robert.
"So?" - Asked Lucas - "You're not a real demoness. As I'm not a real angel. You know that, right?"
"You have rapport with the divine, you saved the world risking yourself in the process, you are trying to save people and you generally do good." - Said Robert.
"True, but angels are Lawful. Plus I heard angels don't have genders. And, well... I do. Heck, angels and demons are made of the same material. And your prayer saved me, remember? That's your god listening to ya."
"It's... Complicated, child." - Said Robert.
"Okay, I'll let you make that call on your own. I don't wanna sour your mood, we have a nice raw meat dish to go through." - Said Lucas, smiling widely.
"I assume it's okay for me to go to the Café?" - Said Robert.
"Of course. Just like they were quite nice to me in Hell's Kitchen. Lois loved you, and if anyone there has a problem with it, it's Excalibur on their sorry asses!" - Said Lucas, smiling. She then paused - "Not that I think it'll come to that, really. Anyways. Lead the way."
The two said their goodbyes to Maxwell and went to Hell's Kitchen.
