As Neruite sat with Lucas, she suddenly turned pale.
"Artemis..."
Lucas turned to her, worried.
"What? Are you okay?"
"Artemis got... teleported somewhere... I can't find her! She seems to be in another dimension entirely..."
Lucas got up.
"Neruite, look for her. I'll go to the Room of Fate..."
As much as Lucas tried to disguise it and sound willing to help - and she was willing - the fact is Lucas's voice had a tinge to it. She was mentally tired, Neruite noticed right away. Even with physical and some mental rest, there are limits.
Given power, she took it upon herself to carry the weight of the world... - She thought.
"We don't know how her fate might be affected, Lucas. Don't do anything yet. I'll try to find her myself, and I'll call you if I need."
"But..."
"Lucas, I'm a goddess of sleep. I can tell when you're mentally or physically spent. Unless it turns out to be necessary, I'm telling you to sit this one out. We don't even know how to get wherever Artemis is yet. I'll try to find out more and keep you posted." - Said Neruite.
"I... I'm sorry." - Lucas sat back on her couch. She was loathe to admit it, but she felt some degree of relief at being told to sit this one out.
"We are gods." - Said Neruite - "Ever since you found out the nature of your power, Lucas, you've been going above and beyond in doing whatever it is that was asked of you, but it's not fair for us to have you take care of every problem that arises. When this is over, I'll ask Hermes to help you with the laurel leaves, too. If I may suggest, unless your help is necessary, take this weekend off. You have an area the size of a neighborhood where you are nigh omnipotent and you have yet to do anything with it because you were too busy."
Lucas blushed.
"Promise me you'll let me know if you need and when Artemis is okay."
"I promise." - Neruite pecked Lucas's forehead and left Lucas to her own devices.
