Cecilia had just "awoken" when she was alerted to something by her systems.
She looked at Emergence.org...
Oh crap.
"Hawkins, wake up. Hawkins!"
Hawkins stirred.
"...yes, Cecilia?" - He said, in as gentle a tone as he could muster.
"We got a leak. They found out time stopped!" - Said Cecilia - "They didn't find out we restarted it, but the sensors of the cyborg and android-changed could tell..."
Hawkins was now wide awake, and on the phone.
"Cecilia, contact the agency..."
Lucas's cell phone rang.
It bears noticing that - time differences being what they are - an American caller would be calling Lucas at a perfectly reasonable time in the morning.
Sadly, however, it also bears noticing that - Lucas being who she was - she would usually still be asleep at noon.
"AlÔ..." - She mumbled, in Portuguese - "Quê...? Ah... English, right. Okay... Okay, sorry... Yeah, I just woke up. What's da matter, Hawkins? Really? They can sense time? Damn... So, how big is the damage? Right... So they don't know we did it. Cool. Well, I can't do much besides telling you I won't tell anyone, right? Yeah, I figured. Thanks for the heads-up. Good luck. Laters."
Infer the context, reader.
Lucas, not having a proverbial dog in that fight besides hoping the leak got contained for Hawkins' sake, shrugged and went back to bed.
