Robert had been walking around, trying both to relax and get some air and to find Rachel and David, when she found them.
"Ah. Good, I had been looking for you."
They turned.
"Oh, hey, Robert. So, any word on Lucas?" - Said Rachel.
"She's fine, and so is Miss Wilkins..." - Said Robert - "It's why I wanted to find you. You didn't tell anyone about this yet, right?"
Rachel shook her head.
"Who would believe us, anyways?"
"To be fair, angels can't lie and reality got way weirder in the past few weeks..." - Said David.
"Point, but still. Anyways, we won't tell anyone. We know how hard this might very well make it on them. But we do want to know how it went..." - Rachel smiled mischievously.
"That is theirs to tell." - Said Robert. She then smiled lightly. - "However, I doubt Lucas will be too inclined to keep mum. At least towards people that already know what she'd been doing. I'm hoping she won't tell everyone and their uncle, so to speak, but I doubt she'd not tell you two."
Rachel nodded.
"No problem from me, I can keep a secret."
David nodded.
"Me neither. My sisters know what I feel, not what I think, and I can swear them to secrecy if they force me to tell anyways."
"Good." - Said Robert.
"By the way, how would Lucas prove her claims anyways?" - Said Rachel - "If no one would believe us..."
"Both their cell phones have cameras, as I learned today..." - Said Robert.
"So... Lucas not only explored the outer rims of reality, she also took pictures? That angel girl is Twoflower with a sword!"
Robert smirked lightly at the comparison. "To be fair, Lucas seems a bit smarter than Twoflower, if just as reckless."
"You've read Terry Pratchett?" - Said Rachel, surprised.
"A friend once lent me the two first books. He felt I was too straight-laced at the time..." - Said Robert, wistfully - "At the time, I read and even enjoyed it, but I ended up too focused on what I saw as the needs of the church. So I only read the first two. I know next to nothing about the rest of the series..."
"Then you should read more of it. I'm lending you a few books tomorrow..."
"You're too kind..." - Said Robert, smiling lightly.
"I also think certain books might actually... Help you. Small Gods, to name one, since Lois said Lucas had mentioned it... So long as you don't take it as a treatise on theology, it's still good reading and, in some aspects, a great book on how different people deal with their different deities." - Said Rachel.
Robert nodded. "Interesting. Can I read it out of the order?"
"Oh, the books don't really have one, save for a few exceptions. I'll lend you all in due time, beginning with Small Gods. Sounds good?"
Robert nodded. The three chatted for a few more minutes and said their goodbyes, Rachel heading home with David, Robert heading to Hell's Kitchen.
