"I must thank you for everything, Lois. It has been a remarkable afternoon. I believe I should find Rachel or David and tell them Lucas is fine. As well as not to share the dimensional travel thing with others..." - Robert smiled.
Lois nodded. "Will you tell them about the plans for the Moon thing?"
Robert shook her head.
"I'm sort of hoping Lucas comes around to a more subtle approach to it. Not to mention I'm pretty sure she'd love it for them to learn about it from the news if she doesn't come around to said subtler approach."
"She's that kind of person all right. I'll keep mum." - Said Lois.
Robert nodded, said her goodbyes and left the Angel's Cafe. She was feeling oddly relaxed.
"Now to look for Rachel and David..." - She thought.
In space, no one can hear you scream.
An angel can still hear her cell phone ring and wake her up, however.
"Ghrw... Hello? Oh, hi, Mateus. Yeah, no, never mind about that. Forget I asked and, most important of all, don't tell anyone. You didn't, right? Good. Yeah, I'm still on the Moon. Okay, get somewhere secluded. I'll prove it to you."(1)
Lucas waited a moment, then opened a portal, then waved to it, then closed the portal.
"Yeah, see? Told ya. Well, I'm just that awesome. Yup, and modest, too. I'll be glad to have you over in an hour or two, after your workday ends. Will you come then? Good. Right now, though, I'm sleeping off the whole thing. You know, I'm sorta glad you remained unfazed by this. Yeah, in my case, it's shock. In your case, it's you being you. I do wonder what would it take for you to go 'holy crap', though. Yeah, no, not in THAT tone, in a more surprised one. Yeah, see, now it just sounded fake. Never mind. If I didn't know you were like this before the Sun changed, I'd think you turned into a Vulcan rather than an elf, dude. Yeah, I figured others would get confused. Anyways, it's off to sleep I go now. Call me when you're over and somewhere secluded, I'll set up the portal. Laters." (2)
Lucas went back to sleep under the stars.
Neruite/Selene woke up for a few moments, still sleepy and needing more rest from how much energy she had spent. She looked around her bed, quickly gleaning that Lucas carried her there, and saw a note written in fairly horrible pensmanship and smiled a bit.
"She carried me here and actually left me something to snack on. How sweet..." - She giggled softly to herself - "Lucas... You offer to serve me partially because deep down you know I'll refuse, and yet you do these things for me because you like the idea of helping me. Likewise I help you partially because deep down I know you'll do your best to earn it... Most mind games of this kind aren't nearly as healthy... Sweet dreams, Lucas."
She turned to sleep, smiling lightly.
Thousands of miles away - yet on the same celestial body - Lucas smiled in her sleep.
