"You know, the Far Plane doesn't look so bad once you think about it." - Said Lucas - "Kinda peaceful, really."
"Except when there's noises, ninjas and hanging judges, maybe?" - Cass smirked - "Now that Selene is here, though, I'm wondering more what we'll see than anything."
Selene smiled. The anime texture made her look all the more 'noble' for Cass. For Lucas, all the cuter, though Lucas was making a point of being a gentleman.
"Come on, now, I'll help you two, but you still have to stay alert out here."
"Don't say anything you might regret, Lucas." - Warned Cass.
"Huh?" - Selene asked.
"Oh, it's just that we're working off Cass's genre, so we have to avoid falling into certain trope pitfalls. The fight with the chaos being I told you about started when I fell into one."
"Huh. You know, Cass, I have yet to meet Tyche, and I don't know if she's human or not, but I bet she would have a field day with you."
"Huh..." - Said Lucas, as if pondering something.
Neruite smiled gently. "Go ahead. Ask."
"Can mortals become gods under the right circumstances? Besides the Sun, I mean."
"Wow. Lucas, if ambition turned me on, I'd be all over you." - Smirked Cass.
Neruite smiled - "Well, it never happened that I know of, besides the Sun. Yet I won't say it's impossible. Conceivably, maybe. I really don't know... I'll e-mail you if they have an opening." - She giggled.
Lucas blushed. "Sorry if it was inappropriate. I was just sorta wondering about you, Cass."
"Me?" - Asked Cass.
"Consider this. You have an aura in which you can change the rules of causality, and bend a few others. Making a few analogies here and there with a god's domain and reality-altering..." - Said Lucas, carefully.
Neruite smirked. "You love making up theories. That you ended up as an angel rather than a mad scientist baffles me. The logic is good, the premise is decent, but, again so far as I know, most or all deities automatically know they are deities. Just one piece of advice, if she is a goddess somehow, don't go all formal with her." - She giggled.
Cass blushed. "Uhm... I really don't know what to say to that. I mean, not that I mind my lover calling me a goddess, but being literal about it is a bit surprising."
"Oh." - Said Lucas - "Sorry." - She blushed.
"No biggie." - Said Cass, smiling, as she kissed her.
"Well..." - Said Selene - "This theory isn't impossible. Not that you are a goddess, Cass, but deities are born when a concept appears. Just like I wasn't born until the Moon existed, Hephaestus wasn't born until man developed at least a few technologies. Still, I'd be quite surprised if someone became a deity, even the goddess of animes or something, and wasn't aware of it."
"That settles it, then. I'm not a goddess. Right?" - Said Cass.
"I'd say there's a million-to-one chance of you being one." - Said Selene, smiling - "You shouldn't worry about it."
"Oh crap." - Said Cass.
Selene looked confused.
"Neruite... In animes, a million-to-one chance is actually very likely to happen..." - Said Lucas - "Unless you are somehow unaffected by her narrative causality laws, you may just have revealed her godhood to her..."
"Oh..." - Neruite took a moment to check if she was or not unaffected by these laws...
