length and additions

Actually, after a branch gets over a certain (admittedly, considerable) size, I find myself less willing to add to it just because it's so much more time and effort to read through it and see if it's something I want to be invested in. But most threads never go that deep. Just something to keep in mind as an exception to the general rule.
