Friday, At the Toby and Terri's Resident
It was slightly passed lunch time, just around 2:45 PM, though it would technically be around breakfast time for the kids. They were eating a large bowl of cereal, safe from all of the sunlight within the house, thanked to their parents. They watched their mother, who decided to stay home this time around, doing his choirs around the house like he always did when their mother was female. If anyone had ever met the original Terri and see him now, they would either not tell that anything was wrong, or that it was just a minimum changed from changing gender. The same could be said for their female father, Toby.
However, Anna and Charlie did noticed that something was off, probably because they would knew their parents better than most people, especially considering how closed the family was. Wednesday and yesterday, they had sensed that something was off, but it was too subtle and only Anna could definitely tell something was different, due to her being old enough. Today, on the other hand, was another story, the changes was actually noticeable now to both of them. They saw it just before and while they ate their breakfast (late lunch for the affected), and it made them more uncomfortable than they already feeling.
It wasn't their mother's decision to wear their father's men clothing, since they figured his woman clothing would now seems odd on his male body. No, it was really his behavior that tipped them off. Changing gender might normally affect the behavior a bit, but there should still be some trace of their mother original feminine behavior still left over. Yet, as they watched their mom, they realized that she was acting less like her old self by the hour. To most extent, their mother was still acting like their mother, but who know when this turtle-paced changes would turn dramatic.
It wasn't just her mind that was changing, there was also other changes as well, and while they haven't been awake yet to noticed their father's changes, they willing to bet she was undergoing the similar transformation. They picked up on their Mom's sudden interest in exercise during his free time yesterday, just after he got back from the court trail as their father was still dealing with unfinished business. They never seen their mother worry so much about her personal appearance, but it wasn't really as bad as it was today. It just didn't make sense, this was not like their mother at all; this level of concern to impressed anyone went against everything their mother originally believed.
Their dad, from what they could tell from Wednesday to today, seems to be distracted by their mother, when her attention wasn't on the court trial or anything related to that. It wasn't much to go on, since that was typical of parents, but being an anime fan, Charlie could recognized it as the beginning of anime famous lovesick symptom, stuffs he usually gag at. Charlie informed this to Anna while they was comparing notes, but while she understand what he meant, something about it seems understated somehow.
For example, when their dad left to the Court yesterday, she saw her father wearing a business dress and outfit. Normally, this wouldn't be strange on a normal woman, but this was their father, and it was odd that she picked a business dress instead of dress pant. Even though Anna knew that her father was trying to be as professional as she always had been, but it was still feel like she was trying to impress their mother, though the act itself might have been only in her subconscious part of her mind and may not even realized it entirely.
Groaning at the annoyance of this whole affair, Anna continued to eat, trying to clear her mind and relax. Charlie was eating as well, his head low in a depressed state. It was very quiet and it seems that Terri must have pick it up, since she stopped washing the dishes to take a look at his children, wondering what was going on with them.
"What wrong, you two," their mother asked, both curious and worried about this odd silence, "Is everything okay?"
That took them by surprise, but they tried their best to stay calm and relax, although it was a bit tough. Not sure how to respond, Anna decided to tell the truth, or at least a portion of it, "W-we just have a lot on our mind, that all. This whole sun thing is a bit depressing, Mom. I mean, we don't get to see you all like we used to. And, what happen if that hole return to take you and Dad again?!"
Terri was stunned at this, but nevertheless he knew that they might be feeling like this. Rubbing both of their heads, he smiled and comforting replied, "I know it has been difficult for us, but don't worry, I'll promise that everything going to get better. I don't think those monsters will try that again, so you don't have to stress over that issue. As for me and your...father...well, perhaps I could find a way to get everyone together for the weekend and spend some time together."
He leaned forward and gave each an individual hug, which actually cheered them up a bit. "So, cheer up and relax, everything will be all right. Now, if you excuse me, I got to do some vacuuming. Make sure your homework get done, and if you kiddos need me, just call for me and I'll come to help."
He walked off with a smile, heading to the living room's closet to get the vacuum, not seeing the shocked expression on their face. "D-did Mom j-just referred to us as 'k-k-kiddos'," Anna questioned in amazement, leaving Charlie to only nodded. That was not something a mother was known to say to her children, even if she was now a he. If there was any noticeable clue that something was up, that was it.
A moment of silence followed afterward, no one knew what to say or reacted. Nevertheless, the silence eventually becomes broken, this time by Charlie. "I-I'm don't know about this anymore! I know it was my idea...but, t-this is getting s-s-scary. W-what happen if...if we lose who we are as well."
"Calm down, Charlie," Anna exclaimed at him, under a now booming sound of a vacuum, trying to calm him down, "We don't really know how far this may go. I mean, maybe Mom and Dad might still be themselves, at least for the most part. And, who would say it would happen to us. I mean, that police lady was still herself, so maybe it might just be our parents...as much as I hate to say it."
"We don't know that, neither. What we do know is that Momma and Daddy is still slowly changing. They are becoming more like the anime characters they become and less like themselves. M-maybe you might be r-right, but what happen if you are wrong?! I want to help them, but we can't do that if we fall in the same t-trap...and even if everything w-work out...what can we do to help t-them?!"
Anna stared at the now sobbing boy in front of her, his head was down to prevent their mother from seeing it. She didn't say anything; after all, she felt the same way. She felt the same helplessness that Charlie was feeling, of being aware that something was off but unable to do anything about it. Maybe, she figured, it might just be their fears getting the best of them. Still, the two have enough time to given some thoughts on this, and even if it might not help directly, at least maybe being exposed to the sun might allow them to be closer to their parents, for as long as they are still themselves.
Thinking hard on the last thought, Anna weakly smiled and put her right hand on her younger brother's shoulder. "I don't know what might happen, but in the very least, we can be with our parents, when they are still our parents." She got up and held out her right hand to him, who was now confused. "I know you are afraid...I can't blame you, I am too. But, I'll be here with you, taking the leap of faith beside you as we go."
Charlie couldn't believe what he was hearing, although it wasn't anything bad. It was just that when he had planned this, it was her that didn't like the idea. But, now it seems the role just got switch on them, with Anna being willing to going into the sun. He grabbed her hand and lifted him upward.
"We better hurry and get this over with, while Mom is still vacuuming," Anna noted, feeling a resolve that she doesn't even know she had before.
"O-okay," Charlie nervously replied, holding on to Anna's right hand. They walked to the door, making sure that their mother didn't catch them. They glanced at each other, both of them was still feeling a bit nervous about doing this.
"C-come on, we can't keep delaying this. I'll be with you, holding your hand. I don't know if everything will turn out well, but at least we will be together."
The two glanced at each other, Anna trying her best to hold her smile, and in the end, Charlie smiled as well. Anna grabbed the door knob with her free hand, took a moment to look at Charlie, and then slightly tighten her grip and walked outside together. It feel pretty nice outside, despite the cool autumn breeze. The two kids could feel a warm tangle, which oddly feel very comforting, as if the very feeling was true love itself. They look at each other and realized something: they were glowing, pink for Charlie and pink for Anna.
"Whoa," Charlie exclaimed, "I wasn't expecting this. What is going on?"
"I-I don't know, but for some odd reason, I feel...nice."
"Me, too," Charlie concluded as well.
Before they could say anything else, they began to feel a tugging feeling. They were confused, wonder what that new feeling was about, but soon realized what it was. They were being pulled into each other.
"WHAT IN THE WORLD," Charlie yelled as he was being pulled closer to his sister. He tried his best to pulled away, but it ending up like how their mother and father did when they got sucked up in that hole in the sky.
Anna watched in horror as their body slowly began to merged, the area that being merged was completely hidden under the glow. She stared into Charlie's face and added as calm as her panicking state could allow, "I think we are fusing together!"
The two completely merged inside the glow, the pink and blue glow combined to make a purple shade. The glow aura began to concentrated; the very air was being rotated around it, before the energy and its pull on the air stopped. The new figure was low to the ground on her knees, feeling very confused at what happen. She got up and entered the house, running straight to a mirror to see what happen. What she saw took her by surprise.
There standing before her in the mirror was an unusual looking girl, who seem to be around eleven year old. She saw a female body of someone who had seem to bloom a bit early than expected, but despite the feminine curves of her body, her body mass appeared to be the same as a boy. Her hands and feet were bigger than what a girl should have been, but the structure of them is definitely female with no doubt, with long slender fingers and long feminine fingernails, as well as cute looking feet, toes, and toenails. She has a boyish muscle type , though they was more compact than normal human being, and still have a female allure to it.
Her face was very feminine, her nose was petite and cute, and her mouth was fairly puffy for her age. Her white hair was short, style as a boyish cut with purple coloring farther closer to the end of her threads of hairs, what added to the unusual cute tomboy appeal she had going for her. Her bang was a bit longer to the point that it could cover her face, but it was looped around her right ear and merged back with the rest of her hair, so it was out of her eyes mostly. She has Charlie's freckles on her body and face, but her skin was definitely Anna. It seems that the fusion was completely blended of femininity and masculinity, despite the fact that this girl was one hundred percent female.
However, one particular thing that was curious about the fusion was her chest. Instead of what one might expect to see on a young girl as mature-looking as she was, she had a barrel-chest. It wasn't like one found on any animals, though; the chest still gave a humanly feminine feel to it, almost even exotic. If she could guess by looking that the mirror, the closest thing to compare to her body with would be a very well-drawn Fifi la Fume, which stick to her original design from a cartoon show that Charlie like to watch, but show off the cute figure better.
Her clothing was a bit odd as well, but only because it wasn't a fusion of the two outfits that the kids were wearing. Still, it did seem to reflect the combined style of the two. Anna was never a huge fan of skirt or dress that much, at least compared to her mother (when he was still a woman), so it wasn't a surprise to see this new figure wearing blue jean, albeit the fact that it was slightly big and tied tightly around her thin waist with a white rope-like belt. She was wearing a black shirt with a pink and blue heart symbol on the back, swirl together in the middle, mingling the two colors as it get closer to the center until it become a purple shade. She glanced down at the mirror and saw black tennis shoes with the same heart symbol engraved on the outward side of the shoes, and if she didn't know any better, she sworn that she had on long socks that goes slightly passed her knees.
Feeling curious to what going on with her chest, she took off her shirt and found what underneath to be the most inquisitive things of all. There was nothing on her chest, nothing that what would normally be found on any human female, instead there was a strange gem in its place in the center, with the same heart symbol as her shirt and shoes. She took this time to turn around to get a profile view of her body, noticing that her body has a feminine arch to it that accentuated her unusual yet lovely barrel-chest. She noticed that it didn't slope too much or too little, causing it to appear somewhat exotically beautiful.
Putting her shirt back on, she took one last look over her body. "This feel really weird," the girl said, before quickly gasping and covering her mouth with her hands. Her voice was a fusion of the two kids, though with a more tomboy variation. This was the final draw as she called out loudly, trying to outrivaled the booming vacuum, "MOMMA!!! CAN YOU COME HERE, PLEASE?!!!"
The vacuum stopped abruptly around the corner, as Terri thought he heard his children calling to him, but it sounded a bit off. He walked around the corner and paused, looking at this strange looking girl in front of the mirror and glaring back at her with crystal-cleared blue and pink irises. "H-hello...?! May I ask what you doing in here?"
The girl was a bit stunned that her mother didn't recognized her at first, but after a quick look at herself in the mirror, she realized it was a reasonable reaction. While she was the fusion of Anna and Charlie (with some alterations here and there), she highly doubted anyone would figured it out without careful examination and maybe even a verbal clue from her. "H-h-hi, M-momma," the girl timidly answered, her hands behind her back with her right hands rubbing the other one nervously (something that Charlie was known to do), "I-it's us, Anna and Charlie! W-w-we...errr...decide to go ahead and went into the sun...and w-well, we kinda fuse together somewhat."
Their mother just stood there, his left eyes was twitching in complete shock. If it wasn't for the voice, he wouldn't be completely sure if this girl was telling the truth, even though there wasn't really anything to gain out of deceiving him. He did the only thing he could do, when too much information entered into the brain too quickly: he fainted.
