Anderson was furious and panicked. Inside her mind, she knew English. She could even hear it, and, she would notice later, read it. But she could not speak it, nor - she would notice later - write it. She knew what she intended to say, but, as she tried to verbalize it, all that came out was gibberish she herself did not understand. She even tried to speak slowly and syllable per syllable. No deal. The antennae served no useful purpose - somehow she knew that, as she knew that her race came in peace - whatever the heck that might mean, she knew it surely meant she had no real ways of doing anyone real damage. She floated, a power that might be the only single solace of this change.

"Chaskry..." - she muttered to herself. Well, at least she knew the meaning of this word...

Toby walked past the defense lawyer, noticing he looked awful. She decided not to make it worse - even because she knew when to be civil, and because the lawyer himself didn't look like the amoral defense attorney from movies - she could appreciate that, especially after how many times Anderson himself had her come up with a damning, biased story against a given criminal that might well sway people; Toby knew the work of a defense attorney wasn't an amoral task more than any other. She moved past him and met her "wife", and both went out of the building. They sweat-dropped (another ability they now had, if you can call that an ability) after seeing the cute alien girl talking gibberish... No, wait... There was a pattern to it. Toby looked at Jay, who went on to speak.

"That's Anderson, Toby. He forgot himself and left the court into the sun..."

Toby nodded, looking fairly serious at that. It was fitting, but somehow this didn't mean as much as Toby herself thought it would. Anderson (Or Karaz, as she, try as she might not to, now called herself) glared at Toby. Toby's wife just stared at it, not unlike the kind of anime man she had become - the cute-but-nerdy type - would.

"Anneza Karaz! Toby, hayawale ka ghzarb! An surya bhu anu fryabd! Kdmnab dan? FRYABD!"

Toby sweatdropped again. It seemed the alien girl was threatening her, which made it even more surreal. She shrugged, said her goodbyes to Jay, and ignored Anderson, who had kept her wits to herself enough that she wasn't really all that willing to attack Toby in front of the court they just let her off of, not to mention it was three to one.
