"This is SO COOL!"
Okay, Toby didn't expect that. She sweatdropped (another new thing her form could do) as the "dramatic" soundtrack that was playing stopped with a sound of a record needle scratch and Charlie kept gushing about how his dad was an anime, and, even better, could turn people anime as well. In her situation, Toby had forgotten about Charlie's liking for anime - and the fact that he was a 9-year-old who didn't know better. This was better than Toby expected, for all the wrong reasons.
Anna, who was level-headed enough, chimed in:
"Uhm... Okay. Charlie, calm down. This was random, and we STILL aren't supposed to go out into the sun. Understood?".
Charlie pouted and nodded. Terri cleaned her throat and spoke.
"Well... Since you two seem to be okay with this, I have some other piece of news... I decided to go out into the sun too."
Anna contained her brother before he could start again on how cool this was.
"What? Mother, do you know the sheer number of problems this could cause? The sun isn't a toy! What's going through your head?"
Toby shrugged.
"I told her the same things, Anna. She has her mind set on it."
Anna sighed. She knew how her mother got. Terri smiled.
"It'll be okay. I'm sure of it."
With that, Terri opened the door, smiled to her family and stepped out into the morning light...
