Sir Garrett arrived in a sorry state to the capital. Sweaty, dirty, and hair a mess she’d pushed hard to get back as fast as she could get back. With exhaustion, she guided Thunder to a grove by the castle where she met Princess Fina secretly. Sir Garrett never took liberties with her on their clandestine meetings. Sir Garrett pulled a small amulet from a secret pocket hidden in her leather saddlebag. She pulled the silver chain around her slender neck fixing the clasp. The amulet laid in the valley between her mountains. The runic symbols on the amulet lit up calling to its twin owned by Princess Fina. Sir Garrett steeled herself trying to think of what to say of her situation. She finally said, “Princess Fina this will be difficult to take but I have fallen victim to a curse. I find myself in the form of a young women. I wished to speak with you before speaking to the court wizards to let you know that I have accomplished the mission in the Dread swamp. We can get married now at your father’s discretion. I wanted to let you know the good news as soon as I arrived. I love you and will be with you soon.” Sir Garrett headed back to Thunder when she heard Fina’s voice speak to her.
Fina’s soft voice spoke clearly through the amulet, “Wait there I want to see you. This is amazing I never saw such a powerful transformation. I will be over in a minute.” Fina hurried through the castle halls to a secret passage to meet Sir Garrett. Guided by her amulets ability to locate its twin headed to Sir Garrett. She smiled as she drew closer to their secret rendezvous loving the idea of meeting him in that secluded spot. As much as his male form excited her the idea of observing a fully realized transformation. Only high level magic users possessed the ability to perform such magic unaided. She hoped that this might be such a case. She remained confident that the court wizards held the knowledge to reverse the curse. It might be fun to have a girlfriend to do some fun stuff with for a while.
Sir Garrett for her part waited nervously waffling between the desire to see Princess Fina and the wish to not have Fina witness her in such a state. Fina stubbornness would not be dissuaded Sir Garrett told herself so Sir Garrett began to straighten herself the best she could. Sir Garrett poured the contents of her water sack onto her head to wash some of the dirt and sweat off.
Fina saw the shapely form that Sir Garrett now held feeling giddy. She called out to her love, “Hello beautiful you look worn out. How about I get you into a bath so you can really get cleaned up. I want to examine you more closely. You can see the court wizards later.”
