Daphne approached the parents of her future lover, smiling as she walked towards them. "Finally finished, huh?" she asked.
The couple broke apart and looked at the woman in the blue body suit. There was no sense of familiarity in those eyes.
"What are your names?" she asked them.
The two looked at each other, then looked back at Daphne. "I'm Jayla," said the woman who used to be Jay.
"And I'm Nathan," said the man who used to be Athena.
"Glad to meet you," Daphne said, before the two went back to what they were doing. They apparently forgot that they had already met Daphne, that they had even had a conversation with her. But really, it was Jay and Athena who had the conversation with her, not Jayla and Nathan, who were almost entirely brand new people.
Daphne turned and saw that Jacob's and Mary's changes had progressed quite a bit further, but they seemed to be putting up more of a fight than the others. Maybe it was time for her to push things along for them.
