"So you're just going to sit there?" Iwalani asked Leonard, trying to hide his frustration.
"Of course I am. I saw what happened whenever people got up from the other chair," Leonard said. Both he and Gladys had lost a significant amount of weight, and each had grown androgynous as well, but they still largely maintained their original appearances so far.
"And why is that a bad thing? More people mean more to help you out," Iwalani said.
"Look, I don't know what your game is, but most people here seem to be the exact opposite of helpful," Gladys said.
Iwalani took a deep breath to keep his temper in check, then noticed Sonja walking over. He decided to leave Leonard and Gladys for now, meeting her halfway to see how things are going. "Seems the purple ones are a little more obstinate than we'd expected," he informed her.
Sonja nodded. "So I noticed. The yellow are well on their way, though."
Iwalani glanced at the former children, who were now engaged in increasingly adult activities. "I can see that. And orange?"
"Still trying to break out," Sonja replied. The pair looked over at Jacob and Mary. Jacob tried to kick the door again, but this time only succeeded in hurting his foot, which he responded to in a very unmanly fashion.
"Well, if need be we can stop them personally," Iwalani said.
"Seems Daphne is doing well," Sonja observed, looking at something over Iwalani's shoulder.
