"She has a point," Grace said, garnering Richard's attention. The woman now looked more male than female. But it wasn't her appearance that caused him to look at her. It was her words.
"You were the one who told me not to get up," Richard said.
"Well, maybe I did, but Waldina has a point. You don't want to sunburn that hot body of yours, do you?"
"My hot body?" Richard said. "Grace, snap out of it. You're starting to act like ... like them," he said, nodding towards the couples.
"Oh, that's crazy. I'm acting completely like myself," Grace said. "Now come on. Get out of that chair. Let's go take a swim in the pool."
Richard tried to get through to her, but it did no good. She was already changing mentally. And that meant that soon Charles would be too, and then finally Richard. He shuddered, thinking about the type of person he was going to become.
