Richard watched in disbelief as his own sweet daughter changed, becoming even more masculine right before his eyes, before being led away by a girl he had never seen before ... although he had to admit, she was incredibly sexy. Sarah turned and looked back for a moment, giving Richard a good look at her face. It was so different now that she didn't even really look like herself anymore. She could have been a complete stranger.
He began to stand up, but Grace pushed him back down. "Don't move," she said.
"What? Why not? Listen, I don't know who you are, but that's my daughter over there," he said, pointing at the person standing next to the pool with Jonell.
"Daughter?" Charles asked. "I think you mean 'son'."
"No, she's my daughter. Something's happening to her to make her look different." It seemed insane, hearing his own voice admit that, but that's what was happening.
"Something's happening to all of us," Grace said. "Look at me. I'm supposed to be almost seventy years old, but I look twenty-five years younger."
"You're seventy?" Charles asked, shocked.
Richard started to get up off the chair, but Grace stopped him again.
"Why won't you let me get up?" he asked.
"I think that whenever someone leaves the chair, another person shows up in it," Grace said.
"Well, I'm not going to just sit here forever," Richard said. "I need to know what's going on." As he said that, Charles began to change a bit. His hair got a little longer, his skin became smoother and hairless, and his age dropped from about 45 years old to 40. But this all went unnoticed by him.
