After their little exchange Jon's dad went upstairs to get changed while his mom asked Jon to call his siblings down.
Jon went upstairs and told his brother that dinner was ready then he moved on to his sister's. Jon noticed that for the first time in ages that music wasn't blaring out of her room.
Instead Jon could hear sound from her TV. He knocked on the door and opened it. He found his sister on her bed watching an action show.
"Since when are you in to this sort of stuff?" Jon asked her.
Zoe shrugged. "I got bored and started flicking through channels and landed on this." She told him. "It looks pretty good."
"Anyway mom told me to tell you that dinner's ready."
"K."
Zoe eventually joined them at the table and Jon's dad commented on Zoe's choice of clothing.
"Zoe honey. Isn't that one of Jon's shirts?"
"This is it." Jon thought to himself. There was no way that his dad would let his sister get away with wearing his clothes.
"Um yeah." Zoe replied. "I just felt like I needed a change and Jon's clothes seemed to suit me."
To his surprise Jon's father nodded. "I agree." He said. "It looks much better on you than all of that Gothic clothing. I'm glad that you got rid of it."
"But dad!" Jon started not believing what he was hearing. His father looked at him.
"Now your mother told me about the way that you've been behaving and I don't think that it's appropriate."
"You're sister has taken your old clothes and you got some new ones in the process so I don't see why you're complaining."
"But they're my clothes!" Jon protested. "And she took them without my permission." He added. His dad sat back in his chair.
"Well we can easily fix that sweetie." He said smiling at Jon. Turning to Zoe he said. "Apologise to your brother."
Looking sheepishly at Jon Zoe told him. "Sorry Jon. I should have asked before I took your clothes."
"That's better now isn't it?" His father asked. "Now let's eat."
