Zoe watched from the window as Lucy held her car door open for Jon as Jon got in. She then waved as they pulled out of the drive.

Once the car had disappeared Zoe closed the curtains and then sighed happily. She was proud of her mom for starting to date again. She hoped that Lucy would be the one for him and that he would be happy.

Heading upstairs she peaked in to Linda's room. Mikey and Linda were playing a game together on Linda's console. Zoe knocked gently on the door getting their attention.

"Hey guys, mom's gone on his date and left me in charge." She said. Linda groaned.

"Why are you in charge?" She whined.

"Because," Zoe said folding her arms across her chest. "I'm the eldest and mom trusts me."

Linda grunted and shrugged her shoulders.

"What do you guys want for dinner?" Zoe asked changing the subject.

"Pizza!" Mikey immediately said. Zoe frowned.

"Oh alright. Mom did leave some money out. I'll just have a salad though. I'm trying to watch my figure." She said and with that she headed downstairs to order.
