Jon woke up the next day to his alarm going off. While a part of him wanted to stay in bed (it was a Saturday after all) he knew that he had to get up as he had a lot of things to do.
Stretching he sat up and then turned off his alarm. He then swung his legs out of bed and in to a pair of pink fluffy slippers. Jon made the bed before he put on his nightgown.
Jon then crossed the hall and knocked gently on Mikey's door.
"Morning sweetie!" He said softly as he entered.
There was a stir from under the quilt and then Mikey slowly sat up rubbing his eyes.
"Morning mommy!" He replied smiling at Jon.
Jon smiled back before he opened Mikey's wardrobe and started to pick out his clothes for him.
After laying a T-shirt and jeans and underwear on his bed Jon then turned to Mikey.
"Now you get dressed while mommy makes breakfast." Mikey nodded and started to get out of bed.
As Jon headed downstairs he passed Zoe in the hall. She was wearing one of her new pink nighties and her long blonde hair was tied back with a pink scrunchy.
"Morning mom!" Zoe said cheerfully as she spotted Jon.
"Morning honey." Jon replied. "I was just about to start making breakfast." He announced.
Zoe nodded. "Great, I'll be down after my shower." She said and with that she entered the bathroom.
"I guess that means that Linda's still asleep then." Jon thought to himself as he continued down the stairs. It didn't surprise him though as Linda always liked to sleep in at the weekends.
