Meanwhile as Jon walked around the supermarket his heart was still fluttering as he thought about Lucy.
She was so strong, friendly and kind and, handsome? Jon paused as he thought about it. Was handsome the right word? It certainly seemed to fit Lucy for some reason. Yes, Jon decided. Lucy was handsome.
Jon had been so enamoured with Lucy over lunch. She had pulled out his chair for him at the restaurant. He had laughed at all of her jokes. A couple of times Jon had rested his hand on her arm.
When it had come to order their food Lucy had ordered for him. A light chicken salad for Jon and a burger for Lucy. They had a pleasant meal and then Lucy had offered to pay for him.
Jon had blushed and then tried to refuse her offer but she had insisted taking out her wallet and paid the bill leaving a large tip.
Before parting ways Jon and Lucy had agreed to meet up again exchanging numbers. Lucy had helped Jon put on his coat and then escorted him out of the restaurant.
Jon sighed happily at the memory as he pushed his trolley around. "Maybe I should buy a new dress for our date." He thought.
