In my chapter, she still appears as Celine. I just add the Neruite thing in cozier moments for a strange sort of narrative effect where the change in name shows a change in the moment or in her way of acting, not necessarily one to her looks. ;)
Or: Selene, while "closer" to humans, is still a bit more distant than Neruite. Selene is close to humanity, yes, and will help humanity, yes, but Neruite is the goddess that would expend considerable power doing small things to help people. A "cute" imagery I picture for her (but feel no need to add in-story) is her patching up a child's scraped knee with magic (or, and this one I DID do, helping a man get a job by getting the god of commerce himself on the case). Sweet things like these. A "goddess for the little guy", so to speak. Think Green Arrow with a shitload of power and turn female. :-P
In short: Selene is Neutral Good. Neruite is Chaotic Good. ;)
