"Do you? You told me you didn't think he was really dead...and that he left you an inheritance."
Jon blinked a few times...
"Hey mom!" Zoe said entering the kitchen and distracting them. "I thought I'd try out one of my new outfits. What do you think?" She asked giving them a twirl.
"Oh honey!" Jon said gushing over her. "It's beautiful. I'm sure all the boys will love it."
Zoe giggled and blushed. She was wearing a pink top and a white skirt that was so short Karyn was sure that it would break the school's dress code.
"Thanks mom." Zoe said. "Why don't you try on one of your new outfits?" She suggested.
"I would love to dear but I need to start cooking dinner." Jon replied taking the ingredients out of the fridge.
"I can get started while you go and change." Zoe offered.
Jon thought about it and then nodded. "OK honey, you can start preparing the vegetables. I won't be long." He said and then he left the room leaving Karyn with Zoe.
