You're very, very kind, but my character had to go through this experience. Plus we can't force ourselves to figure out little ways to keep my character from turning into a Deus ex machina for every little conflict. It's not fair to you guys. :)
Besides, it is a realistic lesson for Lucas. While not "omnipotent" outside the Moon, she is still quite a powerhouse and can control fates. She will have to learn - and to earn - that kind of power from now on, and that includes the wisdom not to use it, though it may hurt sometimes. :)
Those are my two cents anyways. Please don't think I'm shooting down your idea - I'm not, it makes perfect sense. And I most certainly do not think it should go to waste. I think that it could itself be a complicator for the whole deal with Ricky when her parents find out, etc. ;)
