Meanwhile Karyn was with Sarah as they headed towards their next class when they spotted Zoe and Melissa making their way towards them.
"Uh oh." Sarah said not wanting to be seen by Melissa.
"Hi Karyn, hi Sarah" Zoe greeted them bubbly. Melissa said "hi" to Karyn but seemed to completely ignore Sarah which was odd to Karyn.
"So," Zoe said a little playfully. "Melissa and I were wondering if you would like to join the cheerleading squad."
Karyn laughed and then stopped when she saw the looks on their faces. "Seriously?" She asked. Zoe and Melissa nodded.
"Why me? You know I'm not into that sort of thing."
"Yeah but look at you!" Zoe said. "You look amazing! You've certainly got the style to join us.
Karyn rolled her eyes. "Zoe this is Sarah's stuff. I'm only wearing this because someone stole my clothes." She glared at Sarah as she said that while Sarahjust hung her head, trying to keep out of the conversation.
"Come on girl," Melissa said trying to help Zoe. "Even if they are Sarah's clothes I'm sure you could borrow more of them. I mean it's not like she needs them anymore." She threw Sarah a look of disgust while Sarah looked a little hurt.
"What if we told you that you don't have to be a full member of the team?" Zoe suggested.
"What do you mean?" Karyn asked a little intrigued.
"Well, we're holding tryouts this afternoon and we're down a member but we also need someone who's able to fill in when someone is ill." Zoe explained.
"Yeah, you wouldn't have to come to the games or any of the practice sessions." Melissa chimed in.
"All we ask is that you step in when you're needed and you represent us." Zoe finished.
"What does that mean?" Karyn asked.
"Well, while you won't have to go to any of the games you will have to attend all the partys and team meetings." Zoe explained.
"So? What do you say?"
