"For you to switch teams for a bit....to teach the football players coordination and to help the cheerleaders with strength training. Doesn't that make sense?"
Martin scratched his headed looking confused. "You want me to coach the cheerleading squad?"
"Yes." Miss Fine replied smiling at him.
"Are you sure this will help them?"
"Of course!" Miss Fine replied. "They need to build up their strength and you could give them the exercises that they need to build up their muscles correctly. I'm sure Rachel agrees don't you?" She said looking over to the cheerleading coach.
While puzzled as to why she needed to coach the football team. Rachel nodded. "It makes perfect sense Martin. The cheerleaders need to build up their core strength. You probably didn't think that they needed strength for cheerleading did you?" She asked Martin.
"Well no." Martin said truthfully. "All they do is dance and shake their pompoms." He said.
"Ah but that's where you're wrong Martin." Miss Fine replied. "Dancing takes a lot of energy and to be able to do it you need stamina. And also when they do things like the pyramid they need strength in their arms to be able to hold each other up otherwise what do you think would happen?"
"They would collapse." Martin said realising.
"Exactly" Miss Fine replied.
