Miss Fine was in office when she heard a knock on the door. "Come in" she called.
To her surprise it was the student that she had sent to collect Kyla. He entered the office rather shyly.
"Excuse me Miss Fine. Kyla wondered if she could rearrange her appointment until after school."
"Hmm, interesting" Miss Fine thought. She never had anyone cancel an appointment before. "Did she say why?" Miss Fine asked.
"She said that she didn't want to miss any of her classes." The boy replied.
"Clever girl," Miss Fine muttered to herself. "Very well," She said to the boy. "Tell her that she can come and see me after school but if she fails to show up I will be informing her parents."
The boy nodded and turned to leave.
"Oh I like your lipstick by the way Alex."
Alex beamed at her. "Really?" He asked.
Miss Fine nodded. "Yes. It really brings out the colour in your eyes." She said smiling.
"Thank you Miss Fine. I'm glad you like it." Alex replied happy that he had pleased the woman.
"That's all Alex. You may go now."
Alex nodded and left. Once the door had closed Rebecca allowed herself to lean back in her chair and smiled. She was enjoying the power that she had over the students. They just seemed to eat up every word that she said.
Of course there were some students that were a little trickier than others. Rebecca frowned wondering how to deal with Kyla.
