She followed the monitor...and as soon as they were out of view...she took down all of the signs. She turned and ran around the corner where she spotted Athena.
"Hey Athena!" She called out almost practically skipping over to her. "Check it out" Zoe said excitedly showing her the flyers.
Athena had to snatch one out of Zoe's hand because she was waving them so excitedly. "Cheerleader tryouts?" She asked after she finally read them.
"Yeah isn't great?" Zoe asked jumping up and down. "Apparently a couple of cheerleaders dropped out of the squad. This is my chance to join."
"But I thought that after the first time you didn't want anything to do with them?" Athena asked.
"I did" Zoe replied. "But Miss Fine said that she could help me become a cheerleader if I still wanted to which deep down I still do." She explained.
"Do you know who dropped out?" Athena asked. Zoe shook her head.
"Sarah McMillan and Tiffany Sanders!"
"So?"
"So they both went to see Miss Fine yesterday and suddenly they quit the squad." Athena told her. "Don't you think that's a bit odd?"
"Whatever." Zoe replied. "Their loss my gain." She said. "I'd have thought that my best friend would have been at least happy for me!" She said sounding upset.
"Zoe! I'm so..." but Athena didn't get a chance to finish before Zoe had stormed off.
