The Reveal

Katy stands on the bed with one foot planted on your chest and says
"I am an explorer from beyond the stars and have come here to research your primitive way of life"
she promptly jumps off the bed and asks you to follow her as she walks out of the room
"what are you talking about?" but she keeps walking down the hall forcing you to get up after her
walking down the hall you are reminded about just how out of your league she is, I mean sure you're kind of buff but you don't have a six pack or anything and you just work as an accountant, stable shure but nothing compared to her.
She then stops you and puts her hand on the wall and twists it, suddenly a green strip of light outlines a door then the wall opens up with white mist spewing out
She walks down the ominous staircase and you follow suit revealing a massive open circular space filled to the brim with contraptions of all shapes and sizes.
"I told you I was an alien"
You jump in surprise
"Jesus Katy!" you say as you turn around to look at her
She starts to explain how she was sent here on a research expedition. Fitting in was the only way she could gain the research that she needed, but she needed someone to teach her on how to fit in. You were selected out of chance among a few candidates. Over time, she came to realize that she actually loved you and for the relationship to go any farther she needed to be totally honest.
"thankyou for telling me this, Katy but that doesn't explain how you got such a great job and how you got so much money."
"Well I don't actually have a job and I just created all of the money."
"Katy, I hope you know that that’s money laundering and it is illegal."
"I Know!"
"Then why did you do it?"
"because unlike every other attempt, I have access to some of the most advanced equipment in the universe."
"and what if the FBI comes knocking on our door?"
"then I will alter their minds to where they don't notice a thing."
"you can alter minds?"
"yep, and minds aren't the only thing I can alter"
"can I try?"
"nope"
"why not?"
"because there is a reason why 70% of the alliance has to vote on the use of this equipment"
"So you're telling me you can lie to me for years but I can't use your machine once?"
"fine, just look at the white dot on the screen"
Suddenly the screen flashed a bright white and the ship's controls became second nature, and you knew exactly what you wanted to do.
